Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) within the ESRD population

Did you know...

  • 35% of PAD population over the age of 40
  • Hypoalbuminemia in ESRD has been demonstrated as a risk factor for PAD
  • Patients with premature PAD (diagnosed before age 60) have accelerated course of atherosclerosis and increased risk for Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)
  • ESRD patients have two (2) times greater risk of PAD than general population
  • Diabetic patients are at a three (3) times greater risk of PAD than other patients
